Phil Frank, Judge
Phil will be a judge in the Non-Fiction category. He is a Trustee of the Yosemite Association, a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to the support of Yosemite National Park. However, he is best known as the cartoonist that created "Farley". "FUR AND LOAFING IN YOSEMITE" is one of his published collections. In addition, Phil and his wife Susan have co-authored "Yosemite Handbook".
MAX ALLAN COLLINS, Judge
Max will be a judge in the Fiction category. He is an old family friend of Rigler. In addition to creating the Academy Award Winning Road to Perdition, Max scripted the Dick Tracy comic strip from 1977 to 1993 and three Tracy novels. SUSAN HILDRETH, Judge
Susan will judge submission from the Senior(70+) age group. In recognition of her distinguished 30-year career as a leader in public libraries, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Susan Hildreth State Librarian of California in July 2004.

JOYCE MAYNARD, Judge
Joyce will be a judge in the Fiction category. She has been a writer all her life, having published her first book at age 18. Author of three books of nonfiction and four novels, she can be seen (if you look hard) in the film adaptation of her novel To Die For, and has appeared in the pages of the New York Times, Redbook, Newsweek, and O, the Oprah Magazine.

ALLISON RUDDELL, Judge
Allison will be a judge in the Non-Fiction category. She anchors the weekend edition of the KMPH Ten O'Clock News, Fresno. She is a general assignment reporter during the week.
MARYBETH COLMAN, Judge Marybeth will be a judge in all categories and will assist in the selection of the finalists. She has been a Libranian and English teacher.
ED ADDEO, Judge
Ed will be a judge in the Postcard Category. He is currently the Executive Editor of 5 Marin County weekly newspapers. He has authored 13 books one of which is an epic novel on Yosemite. He will also be a contributing writer to Yosemite Moon.
JOYCE JENKINS, Judge
Joyce will be a judge in the Poetry Category. She is co-editor of the most important West Coast poetry review, Poetry Flash. She is a widely acclaimed poet, and co-author of a work of sociology/philosophy that was published in 1998.
ANNE CARLISLE, Judge
Anne will be a judge in all categories. She is the online instructor of English and online writing tutor for Golden Gate University. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Case Western Reserve University. She is the author of textbooks on clear writing.
Anna Galan, Judge
Anna will be a judge in the high school, college and adult categories. She received her degree from Stanford University in Communication and Creative Writing. She has been a journalist for The Standford Daily, the Palo Alto Weekly, The Martha's Vineyard Gazette and Martha's Vineyard Magazine.
JAMES RIGLER
Rigler has been photographing the full moon for over 25 years. He will be a contributing writer and photographer to Yosemite Moon. He began this project in August 1999.
GAIL WARD RIGLER
Gail has been moonchasing with James since 1990. She grew up at the foot of the Sierras and spent many moons in Yosemite. She designed their last book Hawaii Sun Aloha Moon. She will be a contributing writer and designer of Yosemite Moon.
